Survey, Excavation and Museum Works

The members of the department conduct or participate in the surveys, excavations and museum works. In these works, not only epigraphic materials but also the history and historical geography of the relevant region or settlement, based on ancient sources, are dealt with. A significant portion of the inscriptions recovered in ongoing researches in many parts of Turkey are being studied by the members of our department and transformed into publications.
